bio: Patrick Batemans secretary at P&P. She is stated to have a crush on Patrick Bateman
depcted in: the film, the book, the E-mails
personality:Jean is shown as being percieved as less shallow then many of her peers. Though, in the E-Psycho emails Patrick claims that she is shallow, and has become spoiled. But, this could be interpreted as Patrick being bitter about the divorce. Overall, Jean is a lot kinder then most of the other characters too and wants to go back to college.
Role in the story: Jean is stated at the beginning to have romantic feelings for Bateman, and tackles his dinner and making reservations for him. Patrick then asks Jean out for dinner, she requests to go Dorsia. Later they go back to Patricks apartment, and Jean states she wants to go back to university. She almost gets killed by a nailgun to the head, but this is cut off by Evelyn ringing, making her the second character to avoid being killed by Patrick. Later, she is seen reading his notebook that depict his gruesome killing spree. She looks horrified, but it seems this concern was shrugged off because in the E-mails they get married, and have a child but then divorce.
